The Kuriemi AI Film Contest is a creative contest organized by AiHUB Inc. that invites original short video works produced using AI tools.
Using "Kuriemi" as the theme — her existence and worldview — combine your own interpretation, imagination, and the power of AI to create unprecedented short films.
Who Should Participate
Choose the category that suits your style
A full-scale category showcasing narrative, worldview, and visual expression. Emphasis on composition, completeness, and depth of expression.
An ultra-short category where ideas and spontaneity shine. Creativity and impact matter more than polish.
4 simple steps to enter
Create an account on Creators' Wonderland and log in. If you already have an account, simply log in.
Visit Creators' WonderlandDownload the "Kuriemi Image & Voice Assets" from the "Asset Download" section on the contest page to use in your production.
Assets are protected by C2PA copyright management technology.
Post your work (MP4 file) on the site. For files over 50MB, upload a teaser video and host the full version on YouTube or Vimeo.
For team entries, enter team member IDs (strings starting with @) in the team member field.
Click the 'Apply' button on the contest page to enter your posted work. For files over 50MB, attach both the teaser and the full video URL.

Anime Producer
After joining as a production assistant on 'Astro Boy' under Osamu Tezuka, he co-founded Gainax and served as production producer for 'Royal Space Force: The Wings of Honneamise.' He later moved to AIC, where he planned and produced numerous historic hits that drove the 90s OVA boom, including 'Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki,' 'Oh My Goddess!,' and 'El-Hazard: The Magnificent World.' He also worked on internationally popular titles such as 'Bubblegum Crisis,' contributing to the global recognition of Japanese anime.
Professor, Tokyo University of the Arts
After graduating from Kyoto University's Faculty of Letters, she joined NHK. In her current position since 2008. Chief Producer of NHK's '2355' and '0655' (Mon–Fri, E-Tele, on air since 2010). Chair of the Agency for Cultural Affairs' Committee on Preservation and Utilization of Intermediate Products in Manga/Anime (Animation Division). 'Art Encouragement Prize' selection judge (2022–2024). Member of the Japanese National Commission for UNESCO (2024–), among others.
Representative, Startup Factory
Born in Chikura-machi, Chiba Prefecture (now Minamiboso City). He became a broadcast writer at the age of 19 and spent 32 years creating a wide variety of content. He retired from broadcast writing and screenwriting on March 31, 2024, and currently serves as the representative of 'Startup Factory,' a consumer-focused fund.
Talent / Entrepreneur
While active as an entrepreneur and company executive, she also works broadly as a model and talent. In December 2023, she established Japan's first virtual human talent agency, creating new forms of entertainment. With over 2.5 million total SNS followers, she leverages her self-producing skills to build SNS strategies and launch multiple in-house brands. Committed to creating new value through cutting-edge technology without being bound by convention, she is pioneering the next generation of the entertainment industry.
CEO, AICU Japan Inc.
Author of 'Future Game Design,' 'Become a Divine Artist by Collaborating with AI: Understanding Stable Diffusion through Research Papers,' 'Stable Diffusion Start Guide,' and 'ComfyUI Master Guide.' Currently serializing 'Generative AI Stream' in Impress 'Mado no Mori.' Editor-in-chief of 'Monthly AICU Magazine.' YouTuber / AI Video Creator
Creates AI-powered videos on YouTube while working as a company employee. Reinterprets classic J-RPGs in a modern way, developing creative play. Launched the channel in April 2023 and currently has 230,000 YouTube subscribers (as of February 2026).
Entertainment Sociologist
Serves simultaneously as an entrepreneur (founder of Re entertainment, an entertainment-specialized management consultancy), researcher (Waseda PhD, Keio and Ritsumeikan University research fellow), journalist (Gamebiz reporter), and policy advisor (METI Content IP Project chief examiner), with global content expansion as his life's work. Previously at Recruit, DeNA, and Deloitte, then at Bandai Namco Studios and Bushiroad, where he promoted media mix IP projects in Canada and Singapore and oversaw the international expansion of anime, games, and sports. Author of 'Complete History of Entertainment Business,' 'Entertainment Giants,' 'Oshi Economy,' 'Otaku Economic Zone Genesis,' and others.
Chroma Awards Producer
Matty Shimura oversees partnerships, strategy, and operations at Chroma Awards, and is also the founder of Project Odyssey. With over 18 years of experience as a film director and executive producer, his work has been featured at venues including Meta and Tribeca. He also launched Chroma as a global AI-driven competition in the fields of film, music, and gaming, promoting the philosophy that creativity and technology elevate each other.
Filmmaker
Yves Dalbiez is a multi-award-winning filmmaker featured at Sundance. With 20 years of experience in CGI, 3D character animation, and live-action production, he currently pursues next-generation visual expression by integrating generative AI. He has received high acclaim, with features in Forbes and STASH Media, among others. As the founder of Tokyo-based creative lab 'GOLDCURTAIN,' he supports advertising agencies and studios in adopting generative AI, and also engages in lectures and educational activities.
CEO, AI Anime Studio Yachimat OÜ
As CFO of WCS, which operates the world's largest cosplay competition, he oversaw event organizations across 50 countries, hosted the official One Piece cosplay world championship, and served as assistant producer for Netflix anime, among other experiences. He has since relocated to Estonia, where he builds direction, animation, and workflow systems for anime studios in Hollywood, London, and Japan.

After the contest ends, please promptly destroy all distributed materials and their copies.
Common questions from first-time participants
Absolutely! No prior AI experience is required. There are many free AI image generators and video editing tools available, so this is a great opportunity to try them out. The 10-Second Challenge category is especially recommended for beginners.
No, participation is completely free. You only need to create a free account on Creators' Wonderland.
Yes, anyone can enter regardless of nationality or country of residence. However, please note that prize money will be paid via bank transfer to a Japanese bank account.
Yes, you can submit multiple works. You can also enter both the Short Film category and the 10-Second Challenge category.
One team representative should upload the work to Creators' Wonderland and enter the other members' IDs (strings starting with @) in the team member field of the entry form. Teams can have up to 5 members.
Upload a teaser video (digest version) of 50MB or less to Creators' Wonderland, and host the full-length video on YouTube or Vimeo. You can attach the full video URL when submitting your entry.
You can use any AI tools including image generators (Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, DALL-E, etc.), video generators (Runway, Pika, Sora, etc.), voice synthesis AI, and text generation AI. Please record the names and versions of the tools you use.
You can download them from the contest page. The assets are managed with C2PA copyright technology and may only be used for contest work creation and social media promotion. Please destroy them promptly after the contest ends.
Results are scheduled to be announced in early May 2026. Winners will be contacted individually by email. Results will also be published on Creators' Wonderland.
Copyright belongs to you (the applicant). However, the Organizer holds the right to use submitted works free of charge and non-exclusively for purposes such as judging, publicity, and archiving.
